Dodge durango intermittent starting problem.

Dec 13, 2021 · 2017, V6, 106000 miles. Car will crank over for several seconds, but never start. Leave it alone for awhile then it may start right up like nothing was wrong. I changed key FOB batteries. Still does it from time to time. Battery is new. Garage says it may be shifter. I charged the battery up and re-run the load test. it went thought the headlamps on for 30 second and then turn off the headlamps and to start the engine three times in a row. The battery passed the load test. I then ran the alternator charging test - hold the warmed up engine above 2000 RPM with the lights on for 20 seconds.Jan 21, 2015 ... Mar 6, 2017 · My guess is the pump is the issue. Repop pumps, like sensors and thermostats, aren't very good. Try priming it by pressing the start button with no brake for a few seconds. Then if it starts with the brake / Start button then it's the fuel pump not holding it's pressure.
