No one could tell me why the lock-out occurred.I have noticed that if i leave the engine running and exit the vehical there is no way to lock or unlock the doors. Here are the steps to reproduce the problem: 1. start the engine. 2. leaving the engine running open the door and exit the vehical. 3. attempt to lock or unlock the doors using the drivers door handle (for me this does not work)As the title says. Basically sometimes I get in my car and start it, or maybe I stop at a convenience store or have a passenger in my car so I get out of the car and prefer to leave it running, but want to lock the car. I know the remote start keeps it locked until you get in the car.1. Reel In The Key. If the car is running, it could be driven off without the fob nearby (although a message would appear saying the "key not present". However, once the car is turned off, it can not be restarted if the fob is not present.

You will need to un-wrap the key later when away from the car. If the app is on the key, then forget all this.Took the physical cut key out of the fob, left the fob in the center bin, made sure all doors, besides the drivers door, were locked, got out and used the physical cut key in the key hole on the drivers door to lock.
