Advice for Melee Bladelock. Build Help. With the changes made to the Pact of the Blade, I've become interested in trying to create a dark knight build with a combination of a Fiend Bladelock and a possible dip into a martial class to get better proficiencies and better performance at melee range.
NB: what I definitely don't want to do is Bladelock 5/Fighter 7 or similar, as I don't want to exploit the stacking Extra Attack bug/weird homebrew thing and want to be stronger on the spell casting. With how Bg3 is, and with you wanting only a dip and not full-blown multiclass the only options I see are Fighter1/Warlock11, Cleric1/Warlock11, Pala2/Warlock10. I'd pick The fighter option out of these. Warlock 12 being my preferred option over all the dip options.Paladin 1 is a bit different from table top in BG3. At level 1 they get Lay on Hands, Divine Sense, and a homebrew channel oath that is unique to each subclass. Do note that Paladin gets NO SPELLS till level 2. Extra Resources: Check out r/BG3Builds. It seems Extra Attack from Swords Bard stacks with Pact of the Blade Warlock's Extra Attack, so you can actually do both by going Fighter (1) / Swords Bard (6) / Warlock (5) for permanent 3 Attacks per Action. How I understood it Mobile Flourish allows you to attack twice with your Action, so thats already 4 Attacks.
