This hybrid monk/druid is best suited for NON circle of the Moon druids because you would either lose out on the most powerful wildshapes (8 druid / 4 monk), or you lose out on a feat (10-11 druid / 2-1 monk). The real value of Tavern Brawler isn't the damage, it's the accuracy. +20% to hit with 18 strength is better than the +4 (or +8 for Jugular strike) damage it adds. This is something you can't replicate with Myrmidons. that said, I agree that ultimately, building for the weapon-bearing wildshapes is still very strong.
