Review of Excalibur Hotel & Casino. Stayed in the Royal Two Bedroom Luxury Suite Mid October 2019. The rooms were clean and very nice. The rooms are basically an one-bedroom luxury suite with an adjoining regular room. The front desk was very helpful and got us checked in early. Here are the things that I really hated about staying at this hotel. 1. The room was very stuffy and smelly. The mold smell was overwhelming inside the room and it would not go away. 2. No central air conditioning. The sound of the AC will keep you up all night. It’s right next to the bed, it’s impossible to sleep and rest.

But it wasn’t nearly so bad. Being an MGM Gold helped in that 1.) parking was free (saved $15/night) and 2.) the resort fee was waived (saved $35/night). Add all of that and there is no way I’d ever stay at this property. But at $25/night, I am a buyer. The hotel is styled after a medieval castle.
