So if you use a 2011+ solenoid (or trans) in a 2007-2010 truck, you will blow continual P0760 (OD Solenoid Circuit) faults, since in the newer solenoid module there IS NO OD SOLENOID. So that would be my first suspicion. The 2011+ solenoid module has a GRAY wiring connector. The 2007-2010 style solenoid has a WHITE wiring connector.If yours has electronic four wheel drive, the electric acutator could be out or going out. you should be able to remove the rod and simply move the switch by hand on the transfer case. It will get you out of 4 wheel drive until you have the ime to diagnose the electronics at least. Trans stuck in 4th. 2013 ram 3500hd is stuck in 4th gear while in drive. Reverse works. There is a shift solenoid A and a tcm low voltage code. There is a couple "u" codes. 4.7L. Figured out how to take the plug off. Press the tab in, on the top middle of the plug. Than Slide the red locking tab down. Next pull the gray latch down. I used a pry bar to gently pry the bottom of the plug at the same time pushing the gray latch down.
