I am actually more accurate with the 30, don't know why. A friend that is a firearms instructor said it's due to being aware of the shorter barrel and concentrating more on the sight picture.The Glock 30 subcompact pistol currently in production is Gen4. Production of the Gen3 version of the G30 was discontinued in January, 2014. The Glock 30S and Glock 30SF are Gen3 only. The G30S is a G30SF frame topped with a slimmer, lighter slide and smaller O.D. barrel originally designed for the G36 single stack 45ACP pistol.
I have most all the Glock .45's. When I was choosing which would be first in the 30 series (my first two .45's were G21SF and G21g4), the 30S's frame is same as 30SF and 30g4. The slide is slimmer on the 30S. But, the frame thickness is what grabbed my attention at first. Preferred to shoot without the sleeve. My G21 magazine has a +2 extender for a total of 15 rounds and zero malfunctions in the 30 SF.
