Driver window only moving up 1 or 2 inches at a time: As stated elsewhere, modify the reset process by only lowering it just a bit, less than an inch, then raising it and holding the UP button for a few seconds. This did the reset for me and it now lowers and opens automatically all the way.

I would also perform the reset feature by removing both battery cables and hold them together for a few minutes to clear memory of window motor auto features then reinstall them and strat by programming driver window first, let me know if this works for you, thank for your time! For about two days, it worked occasionally from the passenger switch but without auto up or auto down functions. Then it quit working completely, in the up position. I have checked all the fuses dealing with power windows.

I've ruled out the following: 1) Front passenger window switch - it's fine as I tried it by connecting to the rear door. 2) Motor/regulator - I bought a brand new motor / regulator. However, it would only roll up but not down when installed on front passenger door.Using the passenger side switch to reset it, just put it half way up and stop, then pull all the way up and hold the switch until it stops. Here are the relevant pages from the factory service manual. There is a fuse box under the hood on the driver's side (with spare fuses in the lid) and another in the driver's side under dash. I'm not saying this is an ideal way of handling this, but this could explain it.
