Hi everyone. I had a question about my 2008 Odyssey automatic sliding door not working. Over the last 2 months I've been hearing a clicking noise when my son pulls the door open. The door just recently stopped sliding open when the inside handle it's pulled. I'm not sure if it's due to lack of maintenance or if my son actuality broke it.To 6-Speed - start by cleaning the sliding door contacts with the eraser of a pencil to see if that helps. The eraser trick didn't work. I believe the three recessed door contacts are the ones that control the lock actuators. I was able to read a momentary 12V on one contact when locking and a momentary 12V on another contact when unlocking.Try the following: Remove fuse #13 for 30 seconds or more from the passenger side fusebox. This will reset the door and the clock. 1.) Disable the power door switch on the left dashboard. 2.) Remove the power door fuses located under the front passenger leg area. 3.) Manually open and close both sliding doors.4. Remove the roller off the lower track and replace it with the new part. 5. Line up the new roller with the cable part and do everything in reverse order to secure the part to the door! Hope this helps anyone in the same situation! There were 2 threads about this same issue today. I think you have a faulty rear latch module. It causes door operability issues, random alarms, and a 0.4 amp parasitic drain on battery. A new part costs about $200. Some people have been able to repair the part. Search just a few threads past this one and you will learn more.
