They however have a solid bonuses to skills and extra combat speed. If you REALLY want some worker drones, you can try to find the "lost drone", that are naked hive worker drones that rarely spawn in Dreg, Okran's Gulf, Bast, The Great Desert, Flats Lagoon and The Hook, you'll need to talk with them with other worker drone to recruit them.
