The 1301 and is lighter but feels more like a plastic gun. It shoots well and fast, although not noticeably faster unless you are pushing it to the max. The M4 feels more solid and feels better made. Head to head for a long term gun I would take the M4. The M4 feels stronger and robust.

The 1301 with these enhancements is a more usable and versatile shotgun than a box stock M4. Also, the fixed Benelli stocks (pistol grip or standard) are too long for a fighting shotgun and their adjustable stock is stupidly expensive when you can find them.

The M4 is a tank of a shotgun. Ultra reliable and not that bad in recoil. The 1301 is light as all get out but recoil is light. Like there is no way a shotgun that light should recoil this light. It was pretty reliable as well.

The 1301 Comp is a standard frame, the 1301T is not. It feels tiny in the hand and largely negates needing an SBS.
