Nissan xterra vdc off slip reset.

Vehicle: 2011 Nissan Xterra Pro-4x (35k total miles) with lift and 295 tires. Have had lift and tires now about 30k no issues. When I start the Xterra I have the "Diff lock" and "SLIP" lights. As soon as I turn my wheel (about 45-90 degrees) the "diff lock" light turns off. Then the ABS, VDC Off, SLIP lights turn on.Dec 2, 2019 · I hit a puddle on the road and the truck did a 1/4 hydroplane, nothing serious. When the VDC and slip lights come on my truck revs itself up and down but won't go over 2k rpm even pushing the gas. It's not supposed to be used off-road. The system that the newer Xterras have that is useful off-road is ABLS, which stands for Active Brake Limited Slip.

Apr 20, 2008 · The simplest thing to do is to take it back to the dealer. My 2008 Xterra had the VDC/slip light on when it was delivered. Just took it back the next day and they fixed it. Not really sure what the problem was. They said the steering angle detector (or something like that) had to be re-adjusted and the computer had to be reset. The ABS, VDC and Slip lights were on my 2010 Altima when I started it this afternoon. Car felt odd; traction was horrible despite the roads being all right, taking foot off the break did not have it go around 5 mph like usual. I pulled into a parking lot, checked some things (nothing found), stopped and started a few times.Now both the VDC OFF and SLIP lights are back on. Well the first thing you will need to do is have the truck scanned for codes. Most likely when you disconnected the battery you cleared the G-Sensor and Steering Angle sensor calibrations. If you follow the direction in your owners manual, it states. Go to a straight road, turn off your vehicle, turn back on, go straight without turning the steering wheel for 100 feet, the vdc will reset and turn the lights off. VDC and slip lights sound unrelated and usually mean you've got an ABS code, so get that pulled and go from there. Before you do any of that though, get yourself under your truck and figure out where the transmission fluid is "pouring" out from. Should be pretty obvious if it's not a slow leak.The Slip and VDC sytem is tied into the anti-lock brake system.
