It's almolst time for new tires. I'm going larger, the question is how large. I know 35's will fit fine on my 08 diesel. But I am not sure about 37's. My measuring of the distance between my stock tires and the fender wells at turn (when the edge of the tire is closest to the fender/bumper) gives me 3 7/8". Round that down to 3" to be safe.

A lot of people that have full 35's or 37's don't get the hypertech correction, and thereby don't actually know what their MPG is since the numbers are off due to the tire size. Truck in my Sig has an 8" lift with 37's. I bumped up the stock gearing from 3.73 to 4.30's. Made a big difference off the line and up hills. I pull a 7-8k lb boat loaded. That was with the 6.0 of course and it pulled like a raped ape when it wasn't blown up. Dan's baby.FYI - Ford is putting a 35" spare under the new Tremor package trucks. So the weight difference you're talking is maybe 5-10 lbs. Carli arms really are more about bling than function. They are notched to give 1/2" additional clearance at full steering lock. This is completely a non-issue with greater offset wheels and 37s.
