My father has a 9.9 GF (which I beleive is the same head as the 15) which is made by Chrysler/force. If the cowling has a grab handle on the top rear and is dark charcoal, you can be pretty sure it is of the Chrysler heritage.

It is ok for water to come out immediately.If you have no water coming out that means there is no cooling taking place.You can take out the stat and check it by putting it in a glass of cold water for a few minutes and then put it in a glass of warm water and see if it opens at all.It should.Charlie. The impeller fins are straight when new, but they take a "set" from being bent over in the waterpump housing over time, normal, but not good.
