The Cats Cradle of Stark County's policy is that young kittens be adopted in pairs. This policy is NOT based on a desire to increase our number of adoptions. Rather this ensures that the kittens we rescue, nurture, and love are adopted into homes that offer the best possible environment for their social development. Our educational programs remain a top priority for the Stark County Humane Society. These programs contain age-appropriate instructions regarding responsible pet ownership. Generally, the programs include videos, discussions with the students and interaction with shelter animals that are transported to the schools by volunteers and/or staff. As we welcome Spring we anticipate warmer, milder weather and more diversified activities showcasing the accomplishments and furthering the objectives of the Stark County Humane Society. The past Winter brought turbulent weather to Northeast Ohio and significant challenges for our Staff, employees and volunteers at the Shelter. About Stark County Humane Society.
