My select match cleans up without a trace of copper while the other tends to have a small amout of copper in it. I agree that you should start with good barrel, but the chamber is equally as important. I bought a 10/22 Shilen barrel a couple of years ago and the chamber was long. You could drop a round in the chamber and the bullet wouldn't engrave the rifleing lands. It was quite sloppy to be honest about it.
