Definite chance of catching a flathead off Balmoral beach but minor detail - it is summer and Balmoral is pretty packed so wouldn't recommend it unless you want to upset a few people. You have a chance fishing off the wharf but on the left side is a bit of ribbon weed so you may get a few minor snags.

Balmoral Beach is absolutely one of my favorite beaches in the world!!! It is a family friendly, protected beach without the massive waves and harsh currents. It is also less populated by surfers and their boards. There are great rock pools to explore at low tide. There is grassy, shaded park area for those who want to stay out of the sand and sun. Head down to the Esplanade, for a scenic 1 km jaunt along Balmoral Beach. Return on the dirt trail through Balmoral Park, to George’s Lookout. This last 1 km is hilly!
