Bladesinging doesn't mean you need to boost Dex over Int or stand in the thick of combat all the time. You're still a wizard. Bladesong makes boosting Int more worthwhile because it affects your conc checks, armor class, AND spell DC. Most of your turns will be spent casting spells rather than making a weapon attack.
