Open-world games like Skyrim and Fallout 4 are epic and filled with things to see and do, sure, but good lord are they busted-ass games. Still, sometimes these glitches can work in our favour. Recently Fallout 4 players coming to the game off the back of the excellent Amazon Prime series are starting to find new ways to make the game work for them.
What you want to do is whatever ammo you chose to do the glitch with give all but 10 to your companion. This prevents the vendor from taking all of the ammo, they'll take 10 but that's better than all of it. -so now you have 10 of whatever ammo you chose in your inventory, talk to vendor and buy all of that ammo from them.
