I'd recommend the Max because itis barely thicker than the original and still incredibly easy to conceal especially in the pocket while being easier to grip/shoot and much higher capacity.A stainless steel guide rod and new Wolff springs will solve the LCP issue. Kahr recommends a 200 round break in period. I don't remember hearing about any "official" word from Ruger about recommended break in period. Don't know if I have the exact models as you, but I own the LCPII and the CW45.

Bozz48. You should be able to shoot many thousands of rounds without completely disassembling the pistol. Field stripping, cleaning, and lubing will keep it top condition for a very long time. If you have 9 or 10 thousand rounds though it, it might be time to completely disassemble it.

The PF-9 is a decent little gun with lots more power than a 380. It is a DA only pistol (not a striker) but still does not have a manual safety catch. I think Ruger's SR9 is about the only polymer frame (striker or DA) pistol that comes with a manual safety and it sure isn't a pocket pistol. It's eye-Oh-wee-jan .
