When the battery is weak that multiplexer will turn your lights on and off. Had it happen a bunch on mine first time the battery was weak.The check engine light will come on, say the auto start/stop is unavailable when you start the car. If you continue to drive the car the "vehicle will shut off soon" message appears. It doesn't do this every time and sometimes a few days to weeks can go by before it happens again.
