The Imperial era is 1900-1918 (Germany is ruled by a Kaiser) The Weimar Period is 1919-1933 (Between the World Wars) The NAZI period is 1934-1945 (Hitler) The Spread winged eagle was used from 1939-1945.

This gun started life as a DWM Commercial Luger (c/N proof) and sometime--probably in the early 30s--it was reworked and proofed by the Heeres Zeugamt (weapons depot) at Spandau (SU25) for military use.Apr 20, 2009 · The only distinctive marking of these particular guns was a new date of issue added to the one already marked over the chamber.
