I quote FedEx to Steam Store Support, as FedEx accepts full responsibility of the package as being lost and gave me a case number and told me to "contact the merchant." Valve gets back to me and says "they have reached to the warehouse and will update my ticket." People have posted images of the “Your Deck was reported as stolen” message on Reddit and one person tried to RMA theirs and Support said they could not help for the same reasons. It makes life with a Steam Deck very difficult it seems. All steam decks have the same model number. Each steam deck does have a unique serial number.

Risking your job to make a quick $1500 is one thing, but now that the devices are going for $800-900 it's much less enticing.
