After a side-by-side comparison, the Model 30SF really isn't a lot bigger than the Model 39 or Model 36. A little wider than the Model 36 and a bit taller and longer than the Model 39. In addition, the availability of .45ACP vs. .45GAP was a factor in my decision.

I assume the 29sf & 30 are exactly the same the slide perspective. thx. Same slide width for the G29 and G30. the G30S uses the slide from the G36, which is why it's thinner. I like the G36, but never could see much advantage in using a thick frame with a thin slide; the pistol is only as thin as it's thickest part.
