I took the exam on Tuesday. Failed at 85 questions. Went to my car directly afyerwards to do PVT and got the "good pop up". Evidently I did it too early; 15min after finishing the exam, I got the email saying thanks for taking the exam, now you have to wait for your results or pay $7.95 im 48hrs for early unofficial results.

I'm really impressed with all of those people who have had the capability of actually remembering how many questions of this they got, and how many questions of that they got. Today I found out I failed the NCLEX in 85 questions, which is actually really embarrassing if you think about it. I wish I had failed in 150 instead. In order to pass, the computer will stop when it has determined with 95 % accuracy that you have demonstrated minimum nursing competency-the level with which you need to get to to pass. The same holds true with trying to guess whether you’ve passed NCLEX based on the number of questions you received. In other words, if the computer shuts off at 85 questions, the only thing that means was that the computer had a high enough confidence to determine that you either passed or failed at that point.
