The standard game settings give horrible display, either full wide screen with what looks like 8 bit graphics or a very small window with good graphics but too small a window to beable to play. I would like to replay the game again but atm the picture is horrible lol

All you have to do is: Go to your Windows/User/yourusername/Documents/My Games/Fallout4/. In there is a file called Fallout4Prefs, open it up and add this right under the first tag called [Display]: iSize W=3440. iSize H=1440. The monitor is running like a charm (even on this RX560X laptop), just the ~4K resolution is a little too high for games to deliver a really high framerate. Everything seemed to work perfectly but I do have a 21:9 monitor so I am trying to figure out a fix that will work as well. This method in the YouTube video below worked for me before I completed everything in the Nexus mods tutorial above.
