I have one that takes a light tap to get it to go the last bit. 2) Make sure mag is out. 3) Don't try to rotate the takedown lever clockwise with the slide closed. I pull the FCU and hit it with Gun Scrubber, then lubricate and reinsert. Easy peasy. I remove and clean the striker assembly and extractor assembly maybe every third or fourth cleaning.
